Before being involved in
media development, Patrice Schneider was, within the Time Warner
Group, the Managing Director of Netscape
Europe. He had the publishing
responsibilities of Netscape's eight European web sites; UK, Germany,
France, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Denmark and Sweden. In 1998, before joining AOL Time Warner, Patrice was a Senior Adviser for the World Economic Forum (The Davos summit). Prior to this mission, he was the Deputy Managing Director of Hachette Filipacchi Media and successfully launched and published eight highly visible, branded magazine web sites including ELLE, PARIS MATCH, ELLE International, PHOTO, and PREMIERE. From 1990 to 1994, he was a Director at the the World Association of Newspapers which groups 72 national newspaper associations, individual newspaper executives in 100 nations, 13 news agencies, and promotes the growth of free and independent newspapers in developing countries. He serves on the Advisory Board of NewsStand,Inc. the leading, international digital distributor for newspapers, magazines and other print media. He is also a Jury of the Executive MBA in Media and Communication - Class of 2004 - of the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. |
